Instructions
  1. Heat the oven to 500 degrees F. Bring the steak to room temperature.
  2. When the oven reaches temperature, place a frying pan on the stove over high heat for 5 minutes. Coat the steak lightly with oil and sprinkle both sides with the salt. Grind on black pepper according to personal preference.
  3. Immediately place the steak in the middle of the hot, dry frying pan. Cook 30 seconds without moving. Add preferred Cannabutter amount on top of steak. Flip steak with tongs and cook another 30 seconds.
  4. Put the pan straight into the oven for 2 minutes. Flip the steak and cook for another 2 minutes. (Timing is for medium-rare steak – add additional minutes in oven for preferred level of doneness. So medium = 3 mins each side, medium well = 4 mins each side, etc. )
  5. Remove the steak from the pan, cover loosely with foil and rest for 2 minutes. It is now ready for serving. Add assorted preferred garnishes if desired.
Recipe Notes

Chef tip:  For a even more rich meal I usually lightly sear already boiled corn on the cob in frying pan that I used.  The cannabutter used in cooking the steak will also seep into the corn for extra deliciousness.
